 О Системах Управления Контентом рассказывают по разному. Одни ограничиваются формальным перечислением возможностей, другие считают и это излишним, используя только терминологию из рекламных пауз: “клево”, “рулез” и т.п.
Мы же начнем с перечня недостатков.
Про сферу применения Давайте попробуем оценить сферы применения этого движка. Одно время Textpattern воспринимался только как движок, предназначенный для ведения блогов, но с той поры уже утекло много воды, и на сегодняшний день, сохранив блого-ориентированные возможности, эта CMS используется в самых разных сферах сайтостроения. Кроме блогов, на нем работают корпоративные сайты, сайты-презентации, сайты-справочники, сайты-путеводители, новостные сайты, он-лайн газеты, фотоальбомы, музыкальные каталоги и он-лайн сервисы различного назначения. Но проще один раз увидеть, чем 100 раз услышать.

 Одним из самых известных ПО для управления блогом является WordPress. Этот движок разработал Matt Mullenweg, а дизайн шаблона по умолчанию — Dave Shea.Радует тот факт, что WordPress может установить практически любой человек, не имеющий никакого опыта работы с PHP и с базами данных. Весь процесс проходит в два шага и занимает не более пяти минут. Сначала нужно указать в конфигурационном файле (wp-config.php) данные доступа к базе данных. Это в том случае, если вы хотите создать файл вручную. Можно пойти другим способом и создать конфигурационный файл, воспользовавшись веб-интерфейсом: просто вводите в формы данные, и движок сам создает конфигурационный файл. И все! Далее следуете инструкциям. Все легко и просто.
